Who hasn't had a pet that has hidden itself?
For the Sunday Doodle Party of this week, Les Antònies have chosen for the Crafty Bloggers the theme: Cats, so I decided that I would do something about cats and one of the things they love... hiding!!
Do you know why cats love to hide and make themselves invisible? Simple because it’s their feline instinct and for a few more reasons:
Cats love keeping an eye on you and the rest of their domain. Finding a secluded perch where it can see but not be seen is just what it is doing, keeping an eye on everything.
As they are felines, they have a natural love for hunting. If you see your cat appear out of nowhere in a stalking pose, then you can bet it was hiding somewhere before it jumped out onto its prey.
Playing hide and seek is one of cats favourite games. Those sneaky “attacks” at your legs from under the sofa, that makes you jump out of your skin, is all about a great hiding spot.
Sometimes being alone is just their way of relaxing. By finding an isolated hiding place they make sure that nobody is going to molests them for a a lot longer than if they were visible.
So if you find your cat in the wardrobe or even in the washing machine, you shouldn't worry and think its behaving strangely, its just simply being a Cat!!
