COLOURS OF THE SUN

Everyone knows that you can't fly to the sun, not only because you would disintegrate before you got there due to its extreme heat but also because you couldn't land there as there is nothing to land on. The sun is an enormous ball of burning gases that reaches 5.500ºC just on the surface!!

I know that those beautiful colours that treat our eyes both at dawning and sunset has a scientific explanation, but I like to think that is because the sun explodes into flames of colour before it disappears. Some days the colours are just incredible even though they don't last for long!!

So who can live without the sun? I couldn’t!!

For the Sunday Doodle Party for today, Les Antònies have proposed to do a doodle about the sun.

I have done my sun in watercolours and tried to convert those lovely colours that the sun gives us as it disappears over the horizon.

And my quote for today:

“Who soars too near the sun, with golden wings, melts them.”

Have a great Sunday!!
